2-Man Senior Golf League Deadlocked At SLSP

The Men's Two-Man Senior Golf League has been extremely close all season and became a dead and four-team scramble heading into Monday's action at the St. Lawrence State Park.

Joe Tracy and Warren Putman rode an eight-point win into a first place tie with Doc Shea and Tom Cobb at 56.5 points.

Bill Taylor and Mel Fechette stood one point back after gaining a 5-4 win over Shea and Cobb. Wally Boyer and Jerry McRoberts stood 1.5 points back at 55 sparked by McRoberts two birdie round (5, 9) of 38.

Tom Cobb took medalist honors with a round of 35 which included a birdie on three and Bob Simpson and Dick Wilson carded rounds of 39.

Standings: Doc-Tom 56.5, Joe-Warren 56.5, Bill-Mel 55.5, Wally-Jerry 55, Bob-Howard 53, Gary-Dick 51, Dick-Henry 50.5, Pete-Ron 48.5, Pete-Ron 48.5, Steve-Mike 47, Ken-Joe 44.5, Ken-Art 38.5, Carl-Junior 38.5.

Low Rounds: Gary Guimond 41, Ron Rickett 42, Bob Simpson 39, Dick Wilson 39, Tom Cobb 35, Mel Fitchette 41, Jerry McRoberts 38.

Birdies: Jerry McRoberts 5-9, Tom Cobb 3, Joe Tracy 9.
