"At the age of 15, Michael was unexpectedly and tragically taken from his family and friends. In remembrance of his life and accomplishments we honor him, his memory, his family and friends by hosting The 30th Mike Hazen Memorial Hockey Tournament. Mike did everything with such passion and enthusiasm that it brought those around him to the next level. He not only had this outlook toward sports, but toward life itself," said Kristen Hazen.

"It is the hope that Family/Teammates/Friends and all past recipients of The Mike Hazen Memorial Trophy will come together to participate in The 30th Mike Hazen Alumni Game and will take away with them some of this same spirit. The Mike Hazen Alumni game will be played at the Golden Dome on Saturday, Jan 11, with entertainment to follow ( Mike Hazen Celebrity Night ) at SIP’S Personally, I know how much this would mean to my brother Michael and the Hazen Family to have his teammates/family/friends lace up their skates and make their way to the ice. I know my brother and mother will be there in the crowd smiling watching you all skate together again."
