Back To School Night At OFA Huge Success

Children should look forward to a new school with the anticipation of fun and positive interaction in the school community.

The Ogdensburg School District provided a prelude to that with Back to School Night at OFA.

The school district, several community organizations and individuals provided parents with the opportunity to obtain school supplies from OFA's school run pantry and give youngsters the opportunity to look forward to the school year.

"It was an amazing event last night with a whole lot of support from our community. The students and their families were so thankful and excited. We are ready to do another supply shopping day as we ran out of supplies," said a representative of the OFA teaching staff.

" We would like to continue to support those who were not able to get what they needed,  so we took names and phone numbers and look forward to reaching out to help them before the start of the school year. "

Contributions for the event came from: Dr. Michael and Trudy Chalom, the Ogdensburg Education Association, Acco Brands Inc., the Moose Lodge 814, Bertrand's Construction, the Carlisle Law Firm P.C., the Institute for Learning Centered Education Inc., AN Derringer Inc., Dr. Michael and Ellen Seidman, Sipps, St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union, Corning Inc., New Life Assembly of God, Jill O'Brien, Victoria Bruyere Spooner, Mollie Baker, Chelsea Flinn, Jessica Halladay, Chrissy Smith, Sarah Fitzpatrick, Keystin Denny, Mindy Woodruff, Sally Amo, Lydia Putney, Lexi LaFlair, Pamela Luckie, Patrick and Darleen Lynch, Mary Ellen Martin, Erin Reed, Woody's Tavern, Kayden and Karly Skelly, Swanie Entertainment, Michael and Sue Tooley, Jody and Molly Williams, Samantha Hess, Seaway Valley Jumpers and Cindy Burns McDonald.
