Bears Skate Into SUNYAC Semi-Finals

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The SUNY Potsdam men's hockey team (7-17-2) traveled to Buffalo State (12-12-2) on Wednesday night for a SUNYAC quarterfinal matchup, defeating the Bengals by a final score of 3-1. The game marked the Bears fourth SUNYAC playoff appearance in the last six seasons and their first playoff win since defeating SUNY Cortland 7-2 in the 2008 SUNYAC quarterfinals. Sophomore forward Robert Clerc (Wappinger Falls, N.Y./Oswego State), senior forward Bryce Ferrell (Buffalo, N.Y./Buffalo Jr. Sabres), and sophomore forward Thomas Paglucca stopped 25 shots in net for the Bears, while Norrman turned away 23 Potsdam shots at the other end. The Bears now move on to the SUNYAC semifinals which will take place this Saturday, February 29th. The Bears will travel to SUNY Geneseo for a 7 p.m. matchup with the No. 2 ranked team in the nation.
