Ben Cordwell Senior Golf Tournament Leaders Honored

The 2019 Season of the Ben Cordwell Senior Golf League was completed on Friday with a Captain and Crew Tournament under great weather conditions followed the annual steak feed which included shrimp provided for the league members by Ben Cordwell's daughter Peg Brown.

Peg Brown has been very supportive of the league honoring her father's dedication to the league and its members.

After the dinner awards were presented to the flight leaders at the annual 18-hole tournament held during the season. Awards were presented to Chuck Ladouceur - Low Gross Flight A, Pete Shea - Low Gross Flight A, Ken Kendall - Low Gross Flight B, Dick LaVigne - Low Gross Flight B, Frank Perretta - Low Gross Flight C and Bill Taylor - Low Gross Flight C.

Perretta was also honored as the Most Improved Golfer for dropping his average by five strokes.

In the captain and crew tournament held in conjunction to the steak feed the team of Tim Vernsey, Howard Quinn, Tom McCullough and Charles Matthews placed first at one under par. Bob Simpson, Joe Moore, Joe Meyer and John Caufield took second at even par and three teams tied for third place at one over par.
