Things have been very busy at Cameron Tallon's Hilltop Marine shop in Brier Hill.
"We have been extremely hectic trying to keep up with the boat work at our shop. And it has been extremely tough especially with the heat but we are getting it done. So yesterday in the evening I needed a break so we went fishing. I went on the little troll near American Island hoping to catch a walleye" said Tallon.
Tallon didn't catch a walleye but he landed his first muskie ever. A 49-inch "St. Lawrence River Tiger" which savagely slammed the Rapala lure that he was trolling.
"I had never landed muskie before and I didn't know if I was going to land the fish. It made some amazing runs," said Tallon who estimated that weight of of the fish was 30 something pounds.
"I was able to land the fish, get a quick photo and release it. it swam away very strong and I was very happy to see that."
