Canton, Massena Extend Volleyball Success

Canton in the West Division and Massena in the East Division continued successful seasons with straight set interdivisional victories on Thursday,

Canton 3 - B-M 0: The Golden Bears prevailed 25-21, 25-10, 26-24 led by Sydney Lorenc with 7 kills, 2 digs, 1 point , 2 aces, Kelsea Whittier: 3 kills, 12 assists and Karie Bennent: 3 kills, 6 points, 5 aces.

Massena 3 - Gouverneur 0: The Red Raiders downed Gouverneur 17-25, 21-25 and 17-25. Leading the Wildcats were: Miranda Fuller with 4 kills, 2 digs and 9 points; Carly LaPierr with 6 sets, 4 assists and 1 kill and Kaitlyn Clancy with 3 kills, 2 assists, 14 sets, 2 digs and 3 points.

"We had a tough loss at the start of the match when one of our blockers Lexi Devlin hurt her shoulder making one of those great plays she makes all the time. We hope she will back soon, she is such a good player," said Gouverneur Coach Chris Dashnaw.
