Canton Shades Potsdam, SLC Wins Title

Canton gained a 3-2 win over Potsdam in NAC Hockey action on Saturday while Massena suffered a 9-3 loss to Suffern in nonleague action.

At the St. Lawrence Central Tournament the host Larries took the title with a 6-5 win over Batavia and the Islanders dropped a 3-2 decision to Plattsburgh.

Canton 3 Potsdam 2: In an NAC Division I game Pete Coakley scored the game-winner on a 4 on 3 power play. Rhett Palmer scored twice for the Bears and assisted on the game winner. Tyler Berkmam scored twice for Portsdam.

Hayden Todd made 17 saves for Cant and Andrew Eakins had 21 stops for Potsdam.

SLC Wins Tourney: Tournament MVP Kade Hayes from SLC scored six goals with one assist in two games.

Suffern 9 - Massena 3: Ryan Schellerin tallied three goals and assisted on two and Ben Burns delivered two goals and three assists for Sufferin which scored five times in the second period. Massena scored three times in the third period. Nicholas Linstad scored twice, Nick Morrell passed out three assists and Mikey Kuhn scored a single goal.
