Canton Sweeps; OFA, NAC West Games Cancelled, Postponed
Canton Central swept NAC Central Boys and Girls Soccer matches over Massena on Wednesday on a day when OFA's games with Gouverneur and all NAC West action was postponed or cancelled when Gouverneur, Harrisville, Hermon-DeKalb and Heuvelton went to total remote education in the wake of positive COVID-19 cases.
Gouverneur will stay remote until Nov. 30 thus ending the Wildcats' fall sports seasons. Harrisville students will be remote only until Nov. 16 thus ending the Pirates' fall soccer season and Hermon-DeKalb and Heuvelton are planning to return students to their campuses on Monday.
CANTON 2, MASSENA 0
Christopher Schuckers and Colin Taylor scored goals in the first half for Canton (6-0). Parker Hunt posted the shutout.
MALONE 6 - POTSDAM 0
Trent King scored three goals to lead the Huskies and climb to 5-2 in the division.
Hans Schumacher added two goals and an assist and Evan Miller scored.

ST. LAWRENCE 6, ST. REGIS FALLS 0
Kolbee Converse tallied three goals and an assist for the Larries.
Evan Smith and Connor Foster both added a goal and an assist for the Larries (3-3). Hayden Perkins netted a single and Tommy Storrin made three saves in the shutout.
GIRLS SOCCER
CANTON 1, MASSENA 0 (OT)
Hannah Reed broke through against the 3-2 Raiders six minutes into overtime as the 5-1-0 Golden Bears stayed in the thick of the division race. Emily Wentworth made four saves for the Golden Bears (5-1) who took 14 corner kicks.
POTSDAM 2, MALONE 1
Kennedy Emerson and Katherine Cowan scored in the first half as the Sandstoners climbed to 4-2 with a tough matchup with the 3-4 Huskies.
Madison Klepfer scored the Huskies' goal.
PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 4, TUPPER LAKE 0
Kaitlyn Kirk and Kelly Bloom both netted two goals to lead the Panthers to 4-1-1 in the NAC East.
