Canton Tops OFA; Extends Epic Winning Streak

CANTON - Canton extended its epic winning streak to 96 NAC meets downing OFA 121-48 in Friday's pool action. The Golden Bears effort was led Grace O'Neil (200 Fs 2:17.78, 100 Backstroke 1:11.79), Issabella Jaskowski (200 IM 2:34.98, 100 Fs 1:04.71) and Julia Domena (50 Fs 26.23, 100 Butterfly 1:06.4 ) who all posted two individual wins and swam on two winning relays to lead the Golden Bears.

OFA's efforts were led by Myah Myers who won the 500 Freestyle in 6:17.03 and Avery Kuhn who led the 100 Breaststroke in 1:26.66.

"We had great swims by Myah Myers in the 500 free, Avery Kuhn in the breaststroke and  the medley relay team . We were down a few swimmers today but we swam well." said OFA Coach John Tebo.

Canton's relay victories came from Jaskowski, Alexis Stuntz, Maya Thomas and Mia Mousaw in the 200 Medley Relay 2:13.67; Emily Wentworth, O'Neil,, Jaskowski and Domena in the 200 Freestyle Relay 1:48.91 and Wentworth, Brooke Larrabee, O'Neil and Domena in the 400 Freestyle Relay 4:12.90.

Second place swims for came from Myah Myers, Lilly Mallette, Avery Kuhn and Hannah Powers in the 200 Medley Relay 2:20.36; Myers in the 200 Freestyle 2:20.97, Hannah Powers in the 50 Freestyle 29.78 and Isabelle Powers, Kuhn, Hannah Powers and Myers in the 400 Freestyle Relay 4:36.55.

In other matches of the night Massena downed Edwards-Knox 70-21 and St. Lawrence bested Potsdam 68-26.
