Chateaugay Girls Down M-W
Chloe Champagne scored back to back goals and Avery Tam scored a natural hat trick as Chateaugay broke a way from a 1-1 tie to a 7-2 NAC East Girls Soccer win at Madrid-Waddington on Sunday.
Grace Jarvis opened the scoring from Liv Cook and M-W countered with a Hailee Blair goal off a pass from Grace Plumley.
"We had a really nice team win today in Madrid. Everyone got to play valuable minutes and contributed to this win. We didn’t come out the way I wanted us to, but we adjusted and had a nice game. Madrid is a great program and Justin is a great coach. His kids are young and played really hard," said Chateaugay Coach Jason LaPlante.
"We were able to wear them down and our offense finished. Im pleased with how we responded after they tied the game. I was really happy with some of our younger players off the bench today. Kara Dumas, Angela Dwyer had a nice game as well as Grace Bombard seeing her first action in net. Avery Tam also had a big game off the bench."
Liv Cook also scored for the Bulldogs, Grace Jarvis added two assists to her goal, Avery Tam added an assist to her hat trick, Ali Johnston passed out two assists, Kylie Patraw also had an assist and Emma Staples handled seven saves.
Lanny Tiernan scored M-W's second goal.
In one NAC Boys Soccer game played on Sunday Parishville-Hopkinton stayed undefeated in a 4-1 win over Brushton-Moira (0-6) playing its third game in three days.

"We just couldn't find the net," said P-H Coach Tony Angstrom speaking of the first half where P-H took a 1-0 lead.
But all that changed after halftime as the Panthers scored three goals in the space of 11 minutes starting with a Brandon Wilkes tally from Stuart Ayers. Avery Zenger followed with a goal off an assist from Jon Snell and Ayers scored unassisted. Gavin Allen scored from Justin Kennedy for the lone B-M goal.
Peyton Snell scored the only goal of the first half from Jon Snell and Caleb Knowles stopped two shots in the P-H net.
