Clarkson Wins 2020 Finale 6-3 Over Niagara

POTSDAM - Clarkson got balanced scoring from a few new sources and some more familiar to finish off 2020 with a 6-3 win at home vs Niagara.

The Knights held a time of possession advantage in the first and the lead when Anthony Romano scored at 13:31, but with under a second left on the clock, Niagara was able to punch through and the period ended tied at 1.

Clarkson's Anthony Callin scored the two lone goals in the second period, his 4th and 5th on the season. The third period ended with a wild flurry of goals in the final 6 minutes. Zach Tsekos scored a short handed goal to put the Knights up 4-1, then Niagara pulled to within 2 at 17:20. Two Knights scored their first career goals next, when Luke Mobley and Nick Wicks popped in goals to put Clarkson up 6-2. Niagara was able to score with :08 left to make it a 6-3 final. Ethan Haider ended up with 24 saves in his second career start.

Clarkson will start ECAC play this Friday as they travel to Colgate on New Years Day for a 5 pm game.
