Clemson, Miami To Play For Elementary Touch Football Title

Clemson and Miami advanced to play for the Elementary Playoff title of the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club Touch Football program.

The championship games will be held on Thursday because of the installation of new padding in the gym walls. Last week's Senior Division action postponed and games will be played on Wednesday.

Tuesdays Games

Game 1: Clemson 84 – Syracuse 77

A balanced scoring effort and timely defensive stops helped solidify #1 seed Clemson’s spot in Thursday’s championship game. Blake Woods led Clemson with three touchdowns followed by Isiah Warner, Callan Ashley, Amya LaFlair and William LaFlair all with two. Blake Ashley added a score as well. Syracuse was led by Julia Ives’s offensive spark with five touchdowns. Cam Javier added three touchdowns of his own with one very impressive one handed grab in the corner of the end zone late in the game. Frank Barr and Colt O’Brien added scores for Syracuse.

Game 2: Miami 70 – Virginia 56

The scoring was pretty balanced for Miami in this game where Lucca LaBella, Liam Coen and JP Decker all scored two touchdowns. Lance LaRose, Jacob Howe, Jack Morley and Kaden Pray also found the end zone one time each. Adam Rose had an explosive second half for the Virginia Cavaliers and provided three touchdowns. Chase Rider added two and Gavin Moran, Ian Rose and Noah White all added one score.

Thursday: 3:20 p.m.- Consolation Game- Virginia vs Syracuse. 3:50 p.m. - Championship Game- Miami vs Clemson. Awards to follow.


Wednesday's Senior League Football Schedule is: Redskins vs Giants 7 p.m., Cowboys vs Eagles 7:45 p.m.
