Connor Bell's Eagle Scout Project Labor Of Love
Completing an Eagle Project involves a great deal of work.
For Lisbon Central School freshman Connor Bell it was a labor of love.
He completed his project last weekend at Lisbon Beach. He was able to combine his passion for fishing into a conservation project in which he led a group of volunteers and scouters to build an invasive species information and disposal center, fishing line recycling and trash container and a shoreline cleanup.
He completed his project under the direction of Eagle Scout Coordinator is Joe Bouchey.
"I wanted to do this project to help preserve the river and it’s sensitive eco system so I thought what better way to do that then to make something that educates people on the issue and helps take care of it. I have always loved to fish and this area and want to help do my part to protect the resources," said Bell
