Cormorants Continue Assault SL River Ecology

As a country we are facing immense challenges on the national, state and local levels.

Those of us who love the St. Lawrence River are watching an out of control population of Cormorants devastate the ecology of the river by attacking the fish population and polluting the water and destroying trees with their toxic droppings.

In the space of a few years the birds, which are an evasive species, have killed a majestic tall tree on Chimney Island and the tree is now collapsing into the river.

The appropriate agencies need to take action now. Seeing is believing.
