COVID-19 Forces Seaway Festival Cancellation

The Ogdensburg International Seaway Festival has announced on its facebook page that the 2020 version of the festival will not be held because of complications of the COVID-19 virus. A few events scheduled as part of the festival are still scheduled to happen at the present time.

-----------------------

2020 is proving to be one obstacle after another. These few that were presented today probably have become the final and last.straw. Our insurance coverage has so many stipulations, requirements, and restrictions because of the pandemic.... there really is no good way to cross all the "T's" and dot all the I's". Without coverage there can be no festival. Secondly.... the Covid testing requirements for the committee, volunteers and vendors would bankrupt us. Hundreds of tests would be required and at up to $350 per test..... well.... right now we.cannot see.a.way to move forward for this year.

The Frederic Remington Art Museum will be having their BBQ on Sunday July 19... it will be a drive up/pick up event.

The Alex Bay Poker Run boats will stop in Ogdensburg on Saturday

There may be a Chicken BBQ at the Moose but as of today those are the only events that fit into requirements.

Please join us in 2021 when we will celebrate the 60th Ogdensburg International Seaway Festival. We would like to thank our committee members and volunteers for all the time and effort they have put into this year's postponed event.
