Cuomo Reports Drop In Coronavirus Cases
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo spoke of "great news" on Sunday in the fight against the coronavirus.
Cuomo offered the possible progress in a news conference on Sunday to outline state and federal efforts. The Governor reported a drop in the number of deaths in New York City from the disease for several consecutive days "for the first time."
"Intubations are decreasing as well, and patients are being discharged from hospitals in larger numbers," he indicated. Cuomo called the developments "great news."
But he continued that it is "too early to tell" if these positive developments signal the worst of the crisis is over.
New York reports over a third of the nation’s cases and over half its deaths from the COVID-19 virus with cases approaching 122,000 cases and he report of approximately 4,200 deaths.
