Deloney/Hewko Make Big Jump In Elks Golf League
There was huge shift in the standings, after play was concluded in week four of the Elk’s Golf League at the St. Lawrence State Park. The team of Ralph/Carl jumped from seventh to tie for first. Ralph Deloney shot a 45 and teammate Carl Hewko carded a very respectable 38.
Joining the team in first was another team that had a great week. Team Williams/Bresett made up of John Bresett, with a 39, and Pat “Doc” Duprey with a 44 subbing for Norm Williams, to climb from forth to first.
Joining John and Carl, in breaking 40 were Jaime Alonso 37, and Scott Williams 39. Steve Garrabrant recorded the only skin of the day. He was also closest to the pin on nine and had a birdie two on the hole.
It will be interesting to see if the Williams/Bresett team can keep up the momentum, especially with their ace John being in Myrtle Beach for the week. No pressure Norm and Doc!
The league will be playing from the front tees on this Wednesday, 6/24.
