Duke, SU Win OBGC Elementary Soccer Debuts

Duke throws up a shutout on opening day of the Elementary Indoor Soccer League at the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club.

Syracuse2 - North Carolina 1: In the first game of the season Trey Thompson got things rolling for Syracuse scoring a goal while also getting an assist. Gavin Moran sealed things off for Syracuse scoring the game winning goal.

Amya LaFlair also helped out Syracuse with a solid day in net. Nate Sholette got things rolling for North Carolina scoring there only goal while also playing solid in net and Cole Mathews grabbed an assist on Sholette’s goal.

Duke 3-Clemson 0: In the second game of the day Chase Rider led the way for Duke breaking out for two goals to help grab the lead. Callan Ashley also scored for Duke putting the game out of reach. Caelum Rider and Jared Pribble both played well in net for Duke.

On the other side of the ball Clemson failed to put the ball in net although they had solid play all around and a good night for Jackson Thornhill in net.
