Expo Honors Stalwart Volunteers, Kiwanis Club
The Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club Expo Committee are pleased to announce its
honorees for the 44th Expo to be held March 27 th at 3:30 PM at the Expo opening
ceremonies.
The OBGC will honor Ned and Helen Hackett, the long-time money crew Expo
Volunteers consisting of John Kelly, Ron Romano, Joe Tracy and John Wallace, and the
Kiwanis Club of Ogdensburg for their contributions of time, talents and treasures to the
club and the youth of the community.
Mr. and Mrs. Hackett have been great supporters of the club for many years, Mr.
Kelly, Mr. Romano, Mr. Tracy and Mr. Wallace were a fixture at Expo for decades
setting up and tracking all the accounting at the event and providing daily reports, while
the Kiwanis Club of Ogdensburg have been volunteering at a weekly Reading Program at
the club for a number of years and provided monetary support whenever needed.
“Recognizing the honorees is a great way to kick-off Expo. Although some of the
honorees are away for a few months and won’t be able to attend we want to recognize
them publicly and will honor them as well at a later date. The club is only successful
because of individuals and businesses like those we are honoring. We hope many will
join us at the opening ceremony to publicly thank them for their commitment and
support of the club,” stated Thomas Luckie OBGC Executive Director.
