Farrell Reaches Podium At 70.3 Ironman World Championships
Another international competition, another podium place.
Ogdensburg Amy Farrell added to her triathlon accolades on Saturday by placing third in the Women's 40-44 age group division at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Nice, France.
Farrell completed the classic Half Ironman in 5:03:31 to take third behind Coeursports teammate Cathy Ynestad.
"My goals for #ironman703worldchampionships were simple-stay safe, have fun, run fast and try to get back on the podium with my @coeursports teammate @cyndestad as this was our 10 year 70.3 Worlds podium reunion! I checked all the boxes and ran a full minute faster than 32 year old Amy ", said Farrell in a Facebook posting.
"I could not have done any of this with the support of my family who is here with me and my husband holding down the fort at home. This racecation has been the most amazing experience and I am so grateful for the people and places triathlon has brought into our lives. I am eternally grateful for the people who support me- @coeursports @greyghostbicycles @highperformancetraining @fallenarchlp @hokaoneone @osmonutrition @rokatriathlon @power_surge_nutrition_wellness @reservemd I am only lucky athlete to have you people in my corner!"
