Fastest Kid In North Country Races Set Sat.

The St. Lawrence University Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Teams will host the 12th Annual Fastest Kid in the North Country races on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Newell Field House on the St. Lawrence University campus.

The “Fastest Kid in the North Country” competition promotes track and field in the North Country, while giving back to the community. 

Track races will be held for ages 2-6 (60 Meter Dash) and 7-10 (200 Meter Dash).

Participants may enter the competition from 10:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. on Saturday morning.  The races are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. 

A cash donation or a non-perishable food item is requested from each participant.  All proceeds will benefit the Canton Church and Community Programs.

Awards will be presented immediately following the final race of each age group. Candy canes will be given out to all participants, with champions earning the title “Fastest Kid in the North Country!”
