Green's Two Goals Power SUNY Canton Win
CANTON – Morristown Central produce Logan Green scored a pair of goals including the game-winner 2 minutes, 28 seconds into the second overtime to lift the SUNY Canton women’s soccer team to a 2-1 win v. Maine Presque Isle on Sunday.
Green, a junior midfielder, scored two goals on a season-high three shots and now has three goals on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Green got the Roos on the board in the 26th minute converting her second goal of the season off a through ball from Sarah Riedel. The hosts took a 1-0 lead into intermission.Hannah Nadeau tied the game at 1-1 in the 49th minute off a pass from Marissa Reagle.Neither team could find the back of the net the remainder of regulation and in the first overtime until Norwood-Norfolk product Madison Seguin assisted the Green game-winner.
The Roos held the edge in shots (17-9), shots on goal (11-6) and corner kicks (9-1).Victoria Hanna made five saves in the win for the Roos, while Savannah Rodriguez turned aside nine shots in the loss for UMPI.
WHAT'S NEXT The Roos are back in action on Thursday when they host Houghton College at 7 p.m.

CANTON – Will Austin scored the game-winner with three minutes remaining in regulation to lift the SUNY Canton men’s soccer team to a key 2-1 win v. Maine Presque Isle in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action on Sunday.

Shayne O’Neill got the scoring started just 19 seconds into the second half when he finished on a header far post off a pass from Jacob Deuel. The goal is the team-leading seventh of the season for the Roos rookie.The Owls evened the score at one apiece when Dakota Patterson found Hunter Wardwell.The Roos found the game-winner at the 87:00 mark when Dustin Brown played a long ball up to Austin who put home his first goal of the season.Canton finished with advantages in shots (23-4, shots on goal (16-4) and corner kicks (10-2).Tyler Petersen made two saves in the victory for the Roos, while Keith Mank turned aside 13 shots for UMPI.
