H-D Soccer Teams Seek Solid Seasons

DEKALB JUNCTION - The ability of young players and veterans to provide leadership will hold the key to the fortunes of the Hermon-DeKalb Boys and Girls Soccer teams.

BOYS OUTLOOK

"We are young, having a roster dominated by sophomores but I think we will be competitive as lot of the sophomores saw significant playing time time as freshmen," said Coach Marty Amo.

The Demons went 1-11 in the NAC West this season and are hopeful that a fast start will wipe away the frustrating memories of 2018. H-D opens its season with a nonleague game against South Lewis on Saturday.

GIRLS OUTLOOK

First year coach Erin Green will look to six seniors to lead the Lady Devils who are looking to better last year's 3-10-record in the NAC West. "The HD Lady Demons are excited and working hard on setting goals and achieving them. We have six returning seniors and have welcomed a foreign exchange student from France. This groups of ladies are pushing themselves to grow both individually and as a team of passionate soccer players," said Coach Green.
