Hammond Completes Perfect Season

HARRISVILLE - Hammond has drawn a lot attention with its high-scoring offense in its run to a 12-0 NAC West Girls Soccer Division championship.

But the Red Devils defense and goaltender Alyvia Crosby has been equally efficient in the 2019 West campaign which was completed at 12-0 on Monday with a 1-0 win at Harrisville. It was the fourth straight shutout for the 15-1 Devils and Crosby who capped a superb first season as the starting goaltender.

In other action of the day Lisbon dropped a 2-0 interdivisional decision to Norwood-Norfolk, Madrid-Waddington downed Colton-Pierrepont 2-1 in NAC East play and in the Central Division Malone (7-5-2, 7-7-2) downed Gouverneur (9-3-1, 10-3-1) 1-0 and Potsdam (9-1-3, 9-3-3) claimed the division title with a win over St. Lawrence Central.

Hammond 1 - Harrisville 0: Kelsey Bennett scored the only goal of the game in the second half as the Devils completed a 12-0 NAC West title and 15-1 overall record.

"We won 1-0 today and Alyvia Crosby made 3-4 awesome saves.  And our defense stepped up again led by Norah Pease and Zoey Cunningham. Outside fulls are Caitlynn Cunningham and Jordan Kloepping," said Hammond Coach Shawn Dack.
