Hammond Girls Blank Harrisville To Stay Unbeaten

Sydney Tanner hurled a three-hit shutout and Hammond made the most of three hits in a 9-0 victory over Harrisville in the only NAC West Girls Softball game played on Thursday.

Tanner struck out eight and Hammond capitalized on walks and hit batters in scoring five runs in the third inning and three times in the fourth.

Tanner, Avery Kenyon and Brooklyn Arquitt singled for Hammond and Hannah Woodard, Tori Moore and Evelyn Winters singled for Harrisville.

In nonleague action Potsdam downed Madrid-Waddington 12-3 and one NAC East game saw Brushton-Moira drop Tupper Lake 23-4.

B-M 23 - TL 4: Kennadey Hebert went 5-for-5 and struck out nine pitching the B-M victory.

Emma St. Mary, Bailey Traynor and Summer Mayville all connected for four hits for the 2-0 Panthers (2-0).

Potsdam 12 - M-W 3: Taylor Benda struck out six pitching the Potsdam win.

Karley Green delivered three hits for the Sandstoners and Megan Burwell and and Keli Kingston both came through with two hits for M-W.
