Heuvelton Bats Pick Up; E-K Downs Lisbon
Heuvelton answered a challenge by Harrisville and Edwards-Knox took control early against Lisbon to continue fine NAC West Girls Softball seasons on Friday.

Heuvelton struck for three runs in the third inning and fourth in the fifth to pull away from a solid all-around effort by Harrisville.
Ally Trathen lined a triple and two singles and drove in two runs with Molly Williams also connecting for a triple. Chasity Johnson, Katie Cunningham, Amber Cunningham, Lily Spooner, Mikayla Ritchie and Rylin McAllister all came through with timely singles.
Johnson, Trathen and Katie Cunningham all saw action on the mound.
"Our bats were quiet out of the gate. Ally Trathen got us going in the third inning with a leadoff triple and we were able to push some runs across. We have a couple of people out so we had to shift some people defensively, They all adjusted ad played pretty good. Molly Williams does such a great job leading our infield no matter who is out there," said Heuvelton Assistant Coach Chris Showers.
"Lilly Spooner had an outstanding game behind the plate. Her defensive game is improving everyday. Chasity Johnson and Ally Trathen were solid on the mound and we were finally able to get Katie Cunningham some work in the seventh and she closed it out."
Megan Kackison doubled and singled for Harrisville, Amy Manchester and Caitlin Atkinson singled twice and Tori Moore doubled.
"Harrisville played hard and made some nice plays. Tori Moore had a great game behind the plate for them. She is one of the top catchers in the section.
E-K CONTINUES FINE SEASON DOWNING LISBON
Riley Typhair belted a triple and two singles and winning pitcher Dekoda Matthews and Kailyn Sroka tripled and singled to lead the Cougars who continued a fine season. Hailey Matthews, Lucy Frary and Leighann Hall all singled twice and Lisa Ayen added a single.
Erika Snyder and Ava Bouchet doubled and singed for Lisbon and Olivia McLear, Rachel LaRock and Ava Bouchey all doubled and singled.
