Junior Bassmasters Cap Great Season On St. Lawrence

A season which produced miles of smiles spread out over some of the beautiful water in the North Country came to an end on Sunday as the Northern New York Junior Bassmasters Club held its final 2019 tournament on the St. Lawrence River out of the Paterson Street Boat Launch in Ogdensburg.

In the Junior Club first place went to Lawson Robla with a 14 pound 55 ounce bag which was took overall weight honors. Robla also took Junior C.ub Lunker honors at 5.81 bass which was the largest finish of the day.

Matt Kinney led the High School Club with 13-70 bag and Kamdyn Johnson landed the High School Club Lunker of the Day at 5-28..

JUNIOR CLUB LEADERS

First Place - Lawson Robla 14 lb 55, Second Place - Owen Ames 10 lb 12,Third Place - Liam Langstaff 8 lb 95, Forth Place - Hunter Spriggs 8 lb 51.

Lunker Award -Lawson Robla 5 lb 81.

Sportsman Award - Blake Woods

First Place - Matt Kinney 13 lb 70,Second Place - Kamdyn Johnson 9 lb 93, Third Place - Drew Mills 8 lb 74.

The Lunker and Sportsman Award donated by Hosmer's Marina and Bait Shop.

The club will hold its annual banquet on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus.

The Winner Of The NYS Lifetime Hunting License was club member Owen Kennedy's Uncle George Kennedy.
