Ladouceur, Kendall, Perretta Win Cordwell Senior Golf Titles


The Ben Cordwell Senior Golf League completed its 2019 Len Cobb-Kenny Cole Memorial Tournament on Friday under firm and fast conditions at the St. Lawrence State Park.

Low Gross honors were secured by Chuck Ladouceur with a 73 in Flight A, Ken Kendall with an 88 and Flight B and Frank Perretta with an 84 in Flight C.

Low Net honors were won by Pete Shea with a 66 in Flight A, Dick LaVigne with a 68 in Flight B and Billy Taylor with a 65 in Flight C.

In Friday's second round Ladouceur shot an even par 35, Warren Putman led Flight B with a 39 and Bill Taylor tallied a smooth 39 in Flight C where Perretta put together one of the season's best Low Nets with a 28.

Low Gross: Chuck Ladouceur 35, Tom Cobb 39, Greg Wall 40.

Low Net: Jeff Howlett 30, Greg Sholette 34, George Beaulieu 34.

Flight B

Low Gross: Warren Putman 39, Ken Kendall 43, Dick LaVigne 44.

Low Net: Walt Wheater 32, Tom Woods 33, Joe Moore 34

Flight C

Low Gross: Bill Taylor 42, Joe Meyer 45, Ray Finney 48.

Low Net: Frank Perretta 28, Ron Bettinger 32, Charles Matthews 34.

Longest Drive: Bob Simpson (Sr), Chuck Ladouceur (reg).

Closest to Pin: Joe Moore 22-5, Greg Sholette 7-6 (reg)

Birdies: Art Sciorra 14, Chuck Ladouceur 13, Bob Simpson 14, Jeff Howlett 15, Geg Sholette 18, Bill Taylor 11.
