Lady Saints Run 5th In Liberty League CC
CANTON - Ashley Walker and Catherine Kluchinski earned Second-Team All-Liberty League honors with eighth and 12th-place finishes at the Liberty League Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon at Bard College.
The Saints finished in fifth place in the team standings.
Walker ran the six-kilometer race in 23 minutes, 18.2 seconds, a pace of 6:16 per mile. Kluchinski was 13.8 seconds behind Walker. Sophie Brzezinski finished in 15th overall and was the second first-year to cross the finish line to earn Honorable Mention All-Liberty League honors.
Fifteenth-ranked Rensselaer won the team title with 43 points, with Ithaca in second with 65. Vassar, ranked 21st nationally, finished third with 72 points, one point ahead of 27th-ranked RIT. St. Lawrence scored 94 points.
Ithaca's Parley Hannan won the individual title, winning the race by more than one minute, 21 seconds in 21:19.9.
