Langley's 73-Yard Birdie Chip-In Gives OLGA Classy Finish

In a highlight reel performance Peg Langley closed the Ogdensburg Ladies Golf Association season with a 73 yard birdie chip-in on Hole #8 Tuesday at the State Park.  Her shot was picture perfect.

The OLGA wrapped up its season play with a  “Putting For Dough”competition.  In a game designed to award high scores for a low number of putts on nine holes, octogenarian Beryl Trombley, a late season Florida import, thwacked fellow golfers with a score of 29.

Jean Bracy and Mary Allan carded  25.  Aileen Guimond in an incredible finish carded a minus one and Gail Bouchard a 4.   Guimond and Langley also anted up to Bracy and Allan in an ongoing game of Bingo Bango Bong.

Low Gross scores were awarded to Allan and Langley.  A shaky start by Jan Jones derailed her usually steady game.

The ladies will play a scramble followed by a  barbecue on September 15.
