Late Surge Carries Malone Past OFA Wrestlers

MALONE - Malone won four the last five bouts of the match to claim a 48-42 victory over OFA in NAC Wrestling action on Wednesday. In a forfeit filled match OFA (0-5 NAC) took 36-24 lead when Tristan Richardson pinned Izaiah Robideau with 59 seconds remaining in the 145-pound matchup.

Malone (2-4 NAC) countered with a pin by Cayden Carter at 152, forfeits to Ethan Peck at 160 and Alfred MacNeil at 170 and a pin by Alexa Boyea at 182 to secure a 48-36 lead and seal the victory.

OFA's Blake Hall won the closing bout of the night with a 24-second pin at 195.

OFA's other wins on the night came from Rob Downey who posted a pin at 126 and forfeits to Archie Green (220), Brayden Wall (106), Mitchel McCarthy (120) and Adam Calton (132). Malone's other scoring on the night came from a pin by Brody Fountain at 285 and forfeits to: Chase White (99), Alex Recore (113) and Lucas Martin (138).
