Leopards Edge Sacred Heart In Final Seconds
The Sacred Heart University men's basketball team dropped its non-conference finale 67-66 to visiting Lafayette College on Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers fall to 7-6 on the year, while the Leopards improve to 8-3.
Cameron Parker flirted with a triple-double, tallying 16 points, collecting eight rebounds and dishing out seven assists for the Pioneers. Koreem Ozier led the team in scoring with 17 points
The Pioneers open Northeast Conference play, and the New Year, at home on January 2 versus Merrimack. The game, set for 7:30, is part of a doubleheader with the Pioneer women's basketball team, tipping off versus Merrimack at 5:00 pm.
Ogdensburg Kinnon LaRose scored two points on 1-2 shooting and added one rebound, one steal and two blocks in 28 minutes of play.
