Lisbon Advances To Thursday's 14U Title Game

LISBON - Asserting themselves with a four-run first inning, top seeded Lisbon (7-3) downed fourth seeded Ogdensburg 15-2 in the semi-finals of the Northern New York Youth Sports 14U Baseball playoffs on Tuesday night.

Lisbon will host Massena in the championship game on Thursday. Massena advanced with a 4-3 win over Potsdam in eight innings.

The trio of starter Lucas Gravlin (4 inn 3Ks)and Cooper Rutherford (2 inn, 4 Ks) and Connor Flack (1 inn, 1 K), who provided scoreless relief, pitched a two-hitter for Lisbon. Issac LaRock went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Jayden Williams went 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs to lead an 11-hit winning offense. Armando Lazaro doubled and drove three runs.

Other hitting contributions came from Lucas Gravlin with two hits, two runs scored and one RBI, Ben LaRock with three runs scored and one RBI, Dave Pirie with a single, one run and one RBI, Connor Flack with a single, Storm Walker with a single, Colin Hazen with a single and two runs scored.

Bill Graveline singled and drove in a run for Ogdensburg and Tyler Sovie singled.

Collin Parmeter provided a strong game behind the plate for Lisbon in Tuesday's 14U semi-final win over Ogdensburg.
