Lisbon Holds Off Edwards-Russell For 18U Baseball Win
Turning back a determined seventh inning rally by Edwards-Russell, Lisbon Town Recreation gained a 7-6 victory in North Country 18U Baseball action on Tuesday.
Jack LaRock did not allow an earned run pitching the first three innings for Lisbon and rapped a triple and a single at the plate. Ben LaRock hammered a long homerun, singled, drove in two runs and scored twice for Lisbon Recreation which built a 7-1 lead aided by a triple and two RBIs by Colin Parmeter who also pitched the final three innings.
Lisbon overcame 13 strikeouts by the Edwards-Russell combination of Tyler Scott (5 Ks, 4 innings) and Jared Lottie (8 Ks, 3 innings) aided by a single by Trent Williams, two singles by Ivan LaRock, a double and a single by Hayden McBath and two runs scored by Storm Walker.
Cade Huckle doubled for Edwards-Russell and Art Carr and Dave White all singled. Jared Lottie and Andrew Franklin all scored runs.
