Lisbon JV Boys Clinch West Title In Strong Effort

Making key adjustments on offensive and defense the Lisbon Boys Junior Varsity Basketball team clinched the NAC West title with a 73-43 win in its final game of the season. Overcoming a 25-point performance by E-K's Dylan Wood the Golden Knights, coached by Blake Gendebien and Ray LaRock, countered with 22 by Noah Martin, 16 from Storm Walker and 16 from Isaac LaRock.

"Lisbon was led by strong play from Isaac LaRock who slid under the 2/3 defense and scored from the baseline or distributed to Noah and Storm. We were having trouble scoring against teams who packed in the zone and dared us to shoot. We finally found a sweet spot for Isaac below the zone and he excelled," said Coach Gendebien.

"Dylan Wood kept E-K in the game by scoring 17 first half points. We decided at half time to focus on Dylan in the third quarter and did a great job of keeping him to just two points. He is a great player and still managed to score 25 points." Other Lisbon scoring came from: Coop Davison (7), Matt Kinney (6) and Erick Parmeter (3).

Jarred Lottie scored 10 points for E-K.

The Lisbon Varsity will meet Heuvelton night in the Section 10 Class D Quarter-Finals.
