Lisbon Town Recreation Rallies For 18U Baseball Win
For a second straight game Lisbon Town Recreation staged a determined comeback from a sizeable deficit and rebounded from a 16-14 loss to the North Country Road Runners to gain a 15-12 victory over Edwards in North Country 18 Under Baseball action on Tuesday.
Lisbon matched Edwards' six-run burst in the top of the third inning with six of it own in the bottom of the inning ands then scored four unanswered runs in the bottom of the fifth and sixth inning.
Reliever Jayden Williams blanked Edwards over the last three innings to get the win as Jackson LaRock, Hayden McBath and Storm Walker led the offense. Jackson LaRock went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored, McBath went for 2-for-2 with three RBIs and Walker went 1-for-2 with three RBIs. Ivan LaRock went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Jayden Williams and Colin Parmeter each scored two runs and Cooper Rutherford went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Ben LaRock and Lucas Gravlin (RBI) als singled in the winning offense.
Cade Huckle went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for Edwards and Darrien Gravlin and Jace Roberts each 2-for-3. Mason White, Josh Elles and Austin Farr also hit safely.
