Liscum Advances In Elks Club Hoop Shoot

Ryan Liscum, representing the Ogdensburg Elks Lodge, won the Boys 8-9 Championship at the District Championship of the Elks Club Hoop Foul Shooting Contest which was hosted by the Gouverneur Elks Club. He moved on to the next round of the Hoop Shoot which will be held in Lowville on Feb.8.

Liscum made 17 of 25 shot free throw attempts to place first and Bryce Spaulding of Lowville took second at 15-25.

The top finishers in each age group of the District Championship follows.

Girls 8-9 - 1st Sadie Vernin., Malone 18/25 and 2nd - Scarlett Delaney, Carthage 16/25.

Boys 8-9 - 1st Ryan Liscum, Ogdensburg 17/25 and 2nd - Bryce Spaulding, Lowville 15/25. Girls 10-11 - 1st - Lily Green, Watertown 13/25 and 2nd - Grace Prairie, 10/25.

Boys 10-11 - Kaden Sech, Carthage 18/25 and 2nd - Parker Felt, Gouverneur 15/25.

Girls 12-13 - 1st - Gabriella Shuler, Watertown 19/25 and 2nd - Kiana Hogle.

Potsdam 18/25.

Boys 12-13 - 1st Jack Adams, Watertown 21/25, 4/5 in shootout and 2nd - Blake Morrill, Potsdam 21/25 and 2/5 in shootout.
