M-W Continues East Roll: C-P, St. Regis Post Wins

MADRID - Madrid Waddington continued its two-season undefeated run atop the NAC East Division and a one game lead over Norwood-Norfolk in Monday's Northern Conference Girls Basketball action. M-W (9-0, 12-3) downed Chateaugay (6-4, 7-6) 56-32 while N-N (8-1, 9-5) dropped Tupper Lake (0-9, 1-14) 47-17.

In the other NAC East games of the night Colton-Pierrepont (4-5, 7-8) trimmed Brushton-Moira (2-7, 2-11) 31-25 and St. Regis Falls checked Parishville-Hopkint.

MW 56- Chateaugay 32: Alexis Sullivan tallied 26 points at the head of a fluid team offensive performance which also featured 10 from Emma Plumley and scoring from nine players, "Alexis Sullivan has another strong offensive night. Jaelynn Uppstrom defended very well and Anna Brady had one of her better rebounding nights," said M-W Coach Bryan Harmer.

"Emma Plumley continues to get more minutes as her knee gets stronger and played very well. Another good team win where everyone contributed in one way or another."

Other members of the scoring parade were: Jaelynn Uppstrom (5), Grace Plumley (3), Kayla Dinneen (2), Laney Tiernan (2), Keli Kingston (2), Lily LaMere (2) and Anna Brady (4).

Chloe Champayne continued to produce well versed leadership for Chateaugay with 10 points, four assists and six steals. Anna Bleakly scored nine points and Adrienne Secore (1 point) grabbed seven rebounds. Ayman Adams tallied six points followed by: Grace Jarvis with four and Cammi Champayne with two.

C-P 31 - B-M 25: The Lady Colts regrouped from a 13-2 deficit and came from behind with a 15-6 edge in the fourth quarter where Kianna Hogle scored six of her game-high 13 points. Alexis Cuthbert scored six of her nine points in the finishing surge and Emma Clemmo (4), Jaleigh Jacot (2) and Izzy Vacarro (3) rounded out the game's scoring.

Keyle Phelan led B-M with eight points followed by Alyssa Poirier (4), Emma Russell (5), Kenendy Hebert (5) and Natalie Palmer (3).

St. Regis 45 - P-H 29: Kitty Arcadi netted a game-high 24 points to lead the Saints who eased away from a 25-20 halftime lead. Leaha Walker scored nine points followed by Carlista Fraser (6), Maisie Hastings (3), Leaha Wheeler (1) and Kiara Bailey.

Kelly Bloom and Mary Grace Guiney combined for seven and six points for P-H whose other points came from: Autumn MacWilliams (5), Emma Bloom (4), Sydnie Phippen (2), Navaeh Phillips (2) and Brenna Woods (2).
