M-W, SLC Set No. 1 Vs 2 For Class C Crown

In a recent NAC East game, Madrid-Waddington needed a buzzer beating jumper by Brennan Harmer to claim a one-poingt victory over Norwood-Norfolk after trailing for much of the second half.

On Thursday night the top-seeded and defending champion Jackets (17-4) dictated a drama free scenario downing the Flyers 60-40 in the Class C semi-finals of the Section 10 Tournament. MW advanced to face second-seeded St. Lawrence Central (12-9) in the sectional title game on Feb. 28 at 7:45 p.m. at SUNY Potsdam.

The Larries (12-9) of the NAC Central Division prevailed 54-51 over Brushton-Moira in a very strong group of four in Class.

"It was a slow start offensively but our D and bench kept us in it. Now we need to enjoy this win for a short time as we need to work hard to prepare for a good St. Lawrence Central team," said M-W Coach Aaron Jones.
