Updated: Sep 24, 2019

MALONE - An opportunistic offense sparked Malone to a 2-0 halftime lead and the Huskies added a goal in the final minute of the game to record a 3-0 win over OFA climb to 4-1 in NAC Central Division Boys Soccer action on Monday.

"We played well and outplayed them in the first half but they scored two goals on three shots," said OFA Coach Matt Morley after his team slipped to 1-2-2 in the Central Division and 2-4-2 overall.

"We did nice things just didn't put the ball in the net."

Dawson Scarf set up first half goals by Fakir and Jake VanSteenberg in the first half and Hans Schumacher scored unassisted in the final minute of the game.

OFA will host Canton on Thursday night in a 6 p.m. start. At halftime members of the Kiwanis Youth Soccer boys teams will be announced and run onto to the field.

In the only other NAC Central game scheduled for Monday, Potsdam and Massena were postponed because of lightning.
