Malone Wins NNY Men's Golf Title; Berkman Wins Jr Title

DENMARK - Producing a very consistent team effort in some tough scoring conditions at the Carlowden Country Club tract Malone unseated the St. Lawrence University Golf and Country Club as champions of the 2020 Northern New York Golf Association's Six-Man Team Championship on Sunday.

Phil Swamp fired a 76 and Graham Niles finished at 77 as Malone posted a 471-483 advantage over SLU on which led by Junior player Ryan Jones who fashioned a 73. Malone finished with a 935-947 margin atop the team standings

Danny Christy and Joe Kenniston combined on rounds of 74 and 76 as Partridge Run used a Sunday 473 to place third at 952.

Potsdam's Tyler Berkman posted 74 on Sunday to edge Jones for the Junior title 142-144. Berkman led Potsdam to a fourth place finish at 956.

Malone's Joe Delisle claimed the 18-Over title with a 73-78-151 and teammate Rob Phillips claimed Super Senior honors at 85-80 165 and Todd Slate of host Carlowden earned Senior honors with a Sunday 72 charge and a two-day total of 84-72-156.
