Mare, Macaulay Win Potsdam's Women's T-F Awards

POTSDAM, N.Y.— Freshmen Emily Ware (Massena, N.Y./Massena) and Morgan Macaulay (Brier Hill, N.Y./Morristown) have been honored by the SUNY Potsdam women's track and field program. Ware is the Most Valuable Player and Macaulay claims the Coaches Award.

Ware, also a member of the cross country team, posted a personal best mile time of 7:09.66 at St. Lawrence on Jan. 18. Her top 1000M time of 3:59.13 came at Middlebury on Jan. 25. Ware shaved time off her 3000M best in three straight meets, finishing with a time of 12:30.77 at St. Lawrence on Feb. 21.

Macaulay ran her fastest 60M Dash time of 9.36 at Utica College on Feb. 8. She also posted her personal best long jump distance of 4.22M on the same day.

The Bears open their 2020-21 season at St. Lawrence on Dec. 5.
