Massena Hurler Comes With 1 Pitch Of Perfect Game

Massena's David Dubray came within one pitch of a perfect game as Massena blanked Canton 9-0 in NAC Central Baseball action on Monday and Bobby Voss and Michael Hewey of Norwood-Norfolk tossed a five-hinning no-hitter in a 10-0 win over St. Lawrence Central.

Dubray struck out 13 and retired the first 20 Golden Bears before Scotty Ahlfeld singled with two outs in the seventh inning. Brennan Snyder, Connor Terry and Emery Deshaies all singled twice for Canton.

N-N 10 - SLC 0: Bobby Voss struck out 11 in four innings and Michael Hewey closed out the fifth of a no-hit victory in NAC East action. Voss doubled twice for thee three RBIs for the Flyers, Michael Richards drilled three hits and Gavin Phillips singled twice.

Voss struck out 11 and also doubled twice and drove in three runs. Michael Richards went 3-for-3 and Gavin Phillips added two hits.

In one nonleague softball game Carthage downed Gouverneur 21-7.
