McCrory Joins SLU Swimming-Diving Staff
Robert McCrory has joined the St. Lawrence University swimming and diving staff as a graduate assistant coach for diving.
McCrory comes to St. Lawrence after graduating from Boston College in May, where he earned a B.A. in communication and economics. McCrory was a walk-on member of the diving team for the Eagles and became the team's top diver after two seasons. He had 20 first-place finishes, including an event win at the Terrier Invitational, and participated in the ACC Championships.
McCrory has four years of coaching experience at the club level. He was the lead lifeguard and head diving coach at Black Rock Yacht Club in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and coached intermediate to advanced divers ages 11-17 who were preparing for junior nationals for Charles River Diving at Harvard.
"Robert has a great deal of coaching experience already, which will be very valuable to our divers," said Saints' head coach Bob Clemmer. "He's very energetic, and is already reaching out to recruits and current team members. I think he will up be a great contributor to our program."
