Men's Lax Duo Earn Roos Of Week, NAC Awards

Canton, NY – Senior Justin LaDuke and junior Hunter Olsen, both of the men’s lacrosse team, have been named this week’s Roos of the Week. The were also named the Offensive and Defensive Players of the week in the North Atlantic Conference LaDuke had a monster outing between the pipes for the Roos stopping 21 shots and allowing just eight goals in a crucial 14-8 NAC win v. SUNY Delhi. The senior recorded a remarkable .724 save percentage making eight first half saves to help the Roos get out to a 10-2 halftime lead. He continued his strong play after intermission stopping another 13 shots to stave off any comeback bid from the Broncos. Olsen paced all players in points (6) and goals (4) while adding seven ground balls to lead the Roos to a crucial 14-8 NAC win v. SUNY Delhi. Playing without one of their top scorers Olsen elevated his game to another level. The junior scored three of his four goals and added both of his assists in the first half helping Canton open up a 10-2 lead at intermission.
