Men's Senior League Race Tightens At State Park

Three teams were separated by two points at the top of the standings in the Men's Two-Man Senior Golf League at the St. Lawrence Park after Monday's play.

Doc Shea and Tom Cobb stand with 52.5 points followed by Bill Taylor and Mel Fechette at 50.5 and Bob Simpson and Howard Quinn at 49.5.

Cobb turned in a medalist round of 37 and also won the Closest To The Pin Contest. Jerry McRoberts and Bob Simpson shot rounds of 40 and Gary Guimond finished at 43 with the only birdie of the day, on the 12th hole.

Standings: Doc-Tom 52.5, Bill-Mel 50.5, Bob-Howard 49.5, Wally-Jerry 48.5, Joe-Warren 47, Dick-Henry 45, Gary-Dick 44.5, Pete-Ron 43.5, Steve-Mike 43, Ken-Joe 42, Ken-Art 38, Carl-Junior 36.
