Moose, Bowl II Move Into Meeting Of Playoff Unbeatens

The top two seeds, the Moose Lodge and Bowl II, moved into a winners bracket matchup on Saturday in See-Way Slo-Pitch Men's Softball playoff action on Thursday.

The Bowl II defeated Mack's 21-6 and the Moose Lodge bested Sipps 15-6.

Saturday's action at Monnet Park will begin at 8:15 a.m. with Howie's meeting Mack's followed by a 9:30 p.m. matchup between Ogdensburg Bowl and Sipp's and a 10:45 a.m. game between the Bowl II and the Moose Lodge.

Bowl II 21 - Mack's 6: The Bowl II jumped out to a 14-3 lead after three innings and the winners were led by Peyton Lalone with two homeruns and three singles, Scott McCormick with two doubles and a single, Broadie Woods with a double and two singles and Jared Barr with a homerun and a single.

Justyn McCormick and Kenny Stull each singled three times. Brandon Mullin rapped a homerun and Matt Snodgrass doubled and singled.

Shane Tiernan drilled two homeruns and a double for Mack's and Jesse Murray also homered.

Moose 15 - Sipps 5: Shawn Knapp went 4-4, Josh Lassial belted two homeruns, Justin Martel homered and scored three times and Bill Durham scored three runs to lead the top-seeded Moose Lodge. Joel King and Eric Barr homered for Sipps.


Saturday at MP: 8:15 a.m. - Howie's vs Mack's, 9:30 a.m. - Ogd Bowl vs Sipps, 10:45 a.m. - Bowl II vs Moose, games continue at, noon, 1:15 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.
