Moose Takes Men's Softball Lead; Bowl II, Howie's win.

The Moose Lodge took over sole possession of first place by starting the final week of the regular season in the See-Way Slo-Pitch Men's Softball League with a 16-8 win over Ogdensburg Bowl. Moose now stands at 10-4 and Ogdensburg Bowl slipped into a second place tie with the Bowl II at 9-5.

Moose 16 - Ogd Bowl 8: Josh Lassial crushed two homeruns and a double, Justin Martel connected for two doubles and a single and Billy Durham doubled twice to led the Moose offense. Joe Brenno stroked three singles and Billy Payne and Norm Martel each singled twice.

Brent Chevrier doubled and singled for Ogdensburg Bowl, Collin Trather homered and Kyle Bouchard, Tommy Joanette and Brett Bouchard all singled twice.

Howie's 18 - Mack's 2: A seven-run first inning propelled Howie's which was led offensively by: Eric Howe (double, 3 singles), Andy Ladouceur (homerun, single), Andrew DeDekker (4 singles), John Missert (double, single and Randy Clifford (3 singles).

Harrison VanBuren and Shane Tiernan homered for Nack's and Rayn VanPatten singled twice.

Bowl II 7 - Sipps 0: forfeit.

\League Standings: Moose Lodge 10-4, Ogdensburg Bowl 9-5 Bowl II 9-5, Howie's 6-9. Sipps 4-10, Mack's Tavern 4-10,

Aug. 1: JP - 6 p.m. Ogd Bowl vs Sipps, 7:15 p.m. - Bowl II at Howie's. BP - 6 p.m. - Moose at Mack's

Tuesday Aug. 6: Any makeup games needed.

Aug. 8, 10: Playoff Tournament.
