Morristown Soccer Earn NAC, NYSPHSAA, Team Awards

MORRISTOWN - The Morristown Central School District and the Morristown Sports Boosters are proud to announce that members of the Green Rockets Boys and Girls Soccer Programs have earned New York State Public High School Scholar-Athlete Awards, NAC West Division honors and recognition for modified level players.

ALL-NAC WEST AWARDS: Tristin Simmons, Jonah Witherhead, Kade Marshall, Rylie Showers and Emma Showers.

NAC SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS: Seth Witherhead, Kassidy Sullivan.

ATHLETES OF DISTINCTION: The following senior girls were recognized as Section 10 Athletes of Distinction. To receive this recognition, they have had to maintain a 90 or above GPA since 9th grade: Rylie Showers, Kassidy Sullivan, Hailey Ward.

NYSPHSAA SCHOLAR/ATHLETE AWARDS: The girls varsity soccer team qualified as a NYSPHSAA Scholar-Athlete Team. In order to receive this recognition, 75 percent of the roster had to have an average GPA of 90 or above.

The following players were recognized with scholar-athlete pins for having a GPA of 90 or above: Rylie Showers, Emma Showers, Mia Johnson, Ava Johnson, Emilie O’Donnell, Kylie O’Donnell, Carly Piercy, Laurell Vinch, Kassidy Sullivan, Hailey Ward, Karissa Donnelly, Emily Gagnon, Aaron Woodcock, Jarred Young, Jack Evans, Ethan Graveline

MODIFIED BOYS SOCCER AWARDS: The following boys modified players received trophies: Offensive Player: Tyler Sovie, Coaches Award: Peyton Donnelly, Coaches Award: Walker Belile, Heart & Hustle: Joey Kring
